1950s Wooden Tomato Crate

A useful mid-century wooden crate used for transporting tomatoes “grown in sunny Jersey” from the Channel Isle to the UK. Measuring 14.5” x 9” x 5.5” tall and weighing 700gm it makes light and airy kitchen storage for fruit and vegetables with its charming British Produce stamp. It’s in good vintage condition with no damage and all the tacks in place, just 6 historic tiny worm holes on the stamped edge.
