Vintage Satin Bound Rose & Paisley Comforter Quilt

A vintage comforter in the prettiest of cotton fabrics ~ cameo roses & paisleys in Schiaparelli and petal pinks, sky blue, yellow with pistachio and eau de nil on a buttermilk ground, backed with a faded violet rose ditsy print on crisp white cotton, the edges bound with petal satin. This is a handcrafted quilt in excellent condition with no fabric damage, it looks to have been hardly used. It has been stitched around a soft and thick wool blanket and secured with a double rectangular design and a central stitched motif ~ the rose fabric is original eiderdown fabric so presumably stitched along the original channels. It measures 61" x 41" and weighs approx 1.6 kgs. It is a genuine hand made quilt with true homespun charm, a beautiful and unique comforter and a valuable extra layer of warmth in the colder months.
