Pink Rose & Paisley Vintage Eiderdown

A beautiful rose & paisley vintage eiderdown, a plump feather and down quilt with a crisp cotton fabric in bright berry red, strawberry pink, pistachio, daffodil yellow and cornflower blue on a soft caramel ground, with garlands of tiny pink and white flowers in between. The channels are stitched in an attractive pattern, the edges are piped and the fabric is the same to both sides. In excellent vintage condition, clean and fresh, the cotton is still crisp with a slight sheen and there appears to be minimal feather loss, if any. The eiderdown is a single and measures approx 62" x 44". There is a recover label by a member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen. Its only fault is one small pale mark to the edge on one side which does not notice or detract given the colour and pattern of the fabric ~ so not pristine but in amazing condition for its considerable age. A very pretty and warm eiderdown to add an extra layer of warmth this Winter, a joy to use and display.
